Mata Traders

Mata Traders is a woman-owned, women-run brand founded in 2007 and based in Chicago. It is known for custom prints and artisan-made textiles combined with feminine, flattering, and easy-to-wear styles. Natural fibers feature traditional block prints, hand embroidery, custom woven plaids, ikats, and all-over screen prints.

The garments are made by four different longtime fair trade producing partners and women’s cooperatives in India and Nepal. Mata Traders is a design-driven, ethical fashion company merging uncommonly vibrant styles with fair trade practices to make an impact on global poverty.
